(Just a few of the precious family and friends in Christ that God has given me… I have so much to be thankful for. God’s mercy is NEW every morning. His faithfulness is great!)
Jeremiah 31:3, ‘The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.’
It’s Valentines Day. I’m grateful that it falls on a Sunday, because it’s such a good reminder of the wonderful, deep love of God that is unfailing and His mercy that goes on from generation to generation. Today is a wonderful day to go and worship the Lord, an awesome day of looking at God’s love, and being so lost in the wonder, love, and praise of such a wonderful Creator and Father.
1 John 4:7-12, ‘Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.’
So often I feel like a failure when it comes to love, but in reality, I am encouraged and uplifted knowing that I’m not the very essence of love. God is LOVE. He is HOLY, JUST, and GOOD love. His love is perfect in every way. May God help me to love more like Him and His Son and the Holy Spirit in my daily walk… It’s a worthwhile and a wonderful journey and yet hard for my selfish ‘self.’ I’m thankful that God never gives up on refining us in the fire.
Malachi 3:3, ‘And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.’
On this day, one of our favorite things to do is to make some extra special pink, red, chocolatey, sweet goodness. The gals from the Blogging Group, Bloggers Gonna Blog, helped me out with a shower of 20+ recipes for your family, your valentine, your friends, or others that you want to share love with today. I’m grateful that love doesn’t stop on this day, but that it’s a good reminder just how SPECIAL and PRECIOUS LOVE is.
Last Minute Valentine’s Day Dessert Round-Up For Your Loved Ones
These are DELICIOUS looking, and they’re super allergy friendly. So if you’re gluten free, dairy free, even egg free, you can STILL make these! I’m thinking my dad would like these. <3
This is one of the thing I love about healthy foodie bloggers. She isn’t a huge fan of beets, just like me, but this is a way I could put eat beets and have dessert too. Foodies find ways of hiding vegetables and fruits in desserts that you would never imagine.
Do you like that yummy icecream? Well, these have all the same beautiful colors, and they’re vegan, paleo, AND gluten free. I guess you could say I get excited when everybody, including those with allergies, can join in on the eating. Thankful that God provides these ways and these bloggers for that purpose!
I love that Christina is constantly incorporating her heritage into the recipes that she makes. I’ve actually never had Guava, but the combination sounds SO good and SO simple.
I guess you could say that I’m like a lot of other bloggers. I LOVE peanut butter. I’m so grateful that God made peanuts and nuts and
so much other food.
You really don’t have to be sad if you’re gluten free, and you can’t have a favorite Girl Scout cookie. Instead, you can just go online, and you can find SO many imitation recipes that do an amazing job at making favorites allergy friendly. 🙂
I kind of think of these as the classic, delicious Valentine’s Day desserts. They’re so simple, beautiful, and this version has peanut butter. That makes it a winner. 🙂
Ok, so I have to laugh at myself a bit here, because I literally just bought a pack of ‘Ferrero Rocher’ truffles at the store, and I could have made them. O_O Well, who says that you can celebrate the people you love just one day a year?
Kaila also did another Valentine’s Day Round-up on her blog right here > ’21 Clean Eating Valentine’s Day Round-Up.’
Kaila is an amazing recipe developer, and I love learning from her as I watch her develop more and more recipes.
Can I just say, ‘YES PLEASE?’
I think that doughnuts were one of the sweets that I thought would be one of the most difficult things to make gluten free, and I’m so blessed to already have not one, but TWO recipes on this post.
I’m really fascinated by the idea of making a cream cheese-y texture by using cashews for vegan recipes… I really want to try this sometime soon, as they look pretty much like cheesecake. Wow!
Only 3 ingredients means that you can whip this up in probably 3-5 minutes. Now that is a keeper for those rushed few minutes before the party/dinner.
This is so simple and so healthy. This might even be something you find me eating for breakfast. 😀
Protein + brownies = pure yumminess and a good workout snack, right?
If you have never made a single serving cake, you should… They’re quite fun, and it is an interesting feeling to be eating a whole cake by yourself. Of course that also doesn’t mean that you can’t share. Making one for your family member will certainly make them smile too. 🙂
I actually tried this recipe about a week ago. It’s amazing. Go try it very soon. It takes about 3 minutes to make, 8-10 minutes to bake, and about 30 seconds to enjoy. Or you should savor each bite… and thank GOD for each bite.
Now, I want to have a party and invite you all over to thank God for His abundance! Who is with me? Who wants to have a Valentine’s Day Dessert Party after worship?
1 Chronicles 16:34, ‘O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.’
Which one of these desserts would you try first?
