This new start feels like a fresh loaf of bread. It’s hot, steamy, and you HOPE it tastes good especially when you spent about 8 hours making it. Why did I spend 8 hours making it? Well. I was having major website problems yesterday. I’ve been in the midst of trying to switch my hosts. I went through all the emotions of:
“OH NO I LOST MY SITE FOREVER.”
“Emily, why are you freaking out? God knows exactly what’s happening here.”
And then I’d go right back to freaking out, but now I can not be more excited for this new start at emilyanneswanson.com.
Thank God for sisters and so many sweet Instagram peeps who reached out with prayer and reminding me that the devil wants to steal our joy, but he can’t have it. Because Jesus is my joy, no matter what happens, and this morning I was reminded that even though, sometimes, hard things endure for the night, joy always comes in the morning.
All that to say.
I have a new blog name: Emilyanneswanson.com. I love it, because I hope and pray that it lasts as long as God wants me to be blogging, and I have to say that I am not as focus on my book anymore as daily blog writing, daily connection with those who are struggling, those who are finding victory in Jesus, those who need encouragement in the journey, and I would say that that EXCITES me.
Blogging has brought me some of my most precious friends like: (The amazing things about each one of these ladies is that God has given me these women to learn more about love, and even though we don’t agree 100% on everything, I am thankful for each one of these precious women that has taught me so many different things.)
and those women that I really look up to like:
Jamie at Mom Gene
Robyn at the Real Life RD
Sarah at Bucket List Tummy
Naomi at Naomi Why Roots
Laura at Joy Food Sunshine
Taylor at Food Faith Fit
Lindsay at Cotter Crunch
Meg & Victoria at Nourishing Minds Nutrition
And in this new beginning I’m going to continue sharing:
Body Image Posts
Posts on Struggles, Victories, Wins
Podcasts on Recovery, Social Media, Relationships
My Journey with Jesus
And any other, hopefully, encouraging real posts for those of you who follow along. 🙂
I’m also going to continue sharing food, because I honestly love food. I don’t love it or obsess over it nearly as much as I used to in my eating disorder, but I’ve always been a bit of a foodie at heart. Lately, I’ve been slowing down and enjoying making all the homemade foods, and I would have to say Cora is my biggest inspiration with all of her yummy baked goodies she shares on the blog in her Week in Reviews and What I Ate Wednesday posts.
In all of this I am grateful to keep being me, keep being the person God created me to be, keep learning, keep crying, laughing, praying, and learning all along the way.
And most of all I am EXCITED to share more stories of God’s faithfulness, of healing, and of victory and struggle through the podcast this coming year.
Please let me know if you know of someone you would want to be on the podcast. Also if you want to share your story please email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Does a new start get you excited too?
