The other day, I decided that it’s time to get adventurous again and make up a new recipe. I honestly can’t figure out how other foodie bloggers are creative enough to make a new recipe every week, let alone every day! I guess that’s why I’m not a foodie blogger, by the professional definition of the word. ;o)
Yet, I do like granola, so I had all the ingredients and I got cookin’/baking… 🙂
It was actually a very easy recipe, and I will share it below here with a few step by step instructions!
Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Granola
3 cups oats
1/2 c. olive oil
1/3 c. honey
2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. protein powder
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup craisins
1/2 c. chopped almonds
Begin by mixing the oats and the olive oil and honey together in a medium sized bowl. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir together until all oats are well coated with honey and oil.
(My sister is off on a trip to a far away land, and she took the nice camera for some good pictures, so you will have to have some grace for my Ipod pictures. ;-D)
Then you take a picture of it before you put it in the oven.
Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
When it comes out, you regret that you didn’t grease the pan, or if you were smarter than me, you greased the pan, and you pick up a few chunks with your fingers, thank God for the amazing food called GRANOLA, and enjoy a few for an afternoon snack.
Do you like granola? Do you like cereal?
What is your favorite kind of cereal? Do you like to eat it with milk or yogurt?
