There are just some days that I don’t eat many veggies. I’m learning that it’s okay. What I eat doesn’t define me. I don’t live to eat. I eat to live. Recovery takes faith. It does. It’s faith in a God who is incredibly powerful, a God who made my body, soul, and spirit to live for Him, and faith in a God who will bless each ounce of food to my body.
🙂 Ok, so I haven’t been eating tons of vegetables, and I’m okay with that. However, I’ve really been re-learning intuitive eating for which I’m really grateful. Sometimes a salad sounds good, and sometimes a ‘mug cake’ sounds good. 🙂
I’ve been eating protein bars, Arman’s ‘Cinnamon Bun Protein Bars’ to be exact. And they are AMAZING. 🙂
I’ve also been gazing at the CUTEST husky dog ever, chilling on my sister’s bed. Aren’t animals such wonders of God’s creation?
Full fat yogurt is the WAY to go! 🙂 I will definitely do the low-fat if we have it, but I have to say that full fat is my favorite. 🙂 God made fat for a reason. It tastes way better than ‘no-fat.’
Gluten free crackers and leftover chicken pot pie made a very satisfying and quick lunch yesterday…
BIG NEWS: Okay, this isn’t huge news, but God blessed me with an incredible experiment in the kitchen yesterday. I made ‘Gluten Free S’mores Caramel Cupcakes.’ And my family loved them! THANK YOU LORD! That little gift made me night.
This is me attempting to do a photo-shoot with my phone. I lost my I-pod, so I had to resort to this. Thankfully, the Ipod is somewhere around our house, so I’m praying that I can find it soon. It’s just a good reminder that none of it is my stuff. It’s all the Lord’s, and sometimes He takes it away to get my eyes back on Him.
This snack. You must have it, if you like yogurt? It’s ‘Greek Gods’ (I don’t love the name) honey yogurt with trail mix. It definitely satisfies your sweet tooth and your stomach. 😀
I’ve definitely enjoyed some delicious veggies in the past week. I’m trying to imitate some of the best Instagrammers with being more intentional about the way I pile my salads. Does anybody else want to take the time to make nice looking salads or are you impatient like me?
And isn’t this cool? It’s a flashlight… Do you recognize the superheroes?
What have you been eating lately?
Do you take food photos with a nice camera or attempt to do it with a phone/I-pod?
If you have a chance, I would love for you to be able to check out this post, ‘Why Recovery Takes Faith.’ I hope it would be an encouragement to you.
