Toast. French toast…. Fudgy French toast… I’m kind of building on my father’s and my grandfather’s shoulders with this one. You wouldn’t know this about my family, but toast is a part of our family heritage, history. My grandpa has always had 2 pieces of toast every day for as long as I’ve been alive with his home made jam. That makes me think of how grateful I am for my grandparents. My grandparents, my grandma has prayed for us every single day since the day I was born. She is a prayer warrior. She walks in such deep, living, walking communion with God, and it springs out of her like living water. I’m truly grateful for how God has put the new life of Jesus, His life into my grandparents, and that they have passed down such a rich heritage.
And John 17:38 really just so perfectly says my grandpa and grandma have lived for years and years… ‘He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.’ They live the live of Jesus Christ in their lives, and I’m so thankful for them.
Part of the gifts of heritage from my grandpa and grandma was … our family’s love for toast, and in particular, I think this expanded in my life to a love of French Toast.
