Hi friends! Yep, you guessed it. It snowed yesterday in Colorado. It did snow the day after we left for Des Moines, but this is the first snow I’ve experienced this winter. I’m excited for the winter season, the cozy baking, and . . . learning to snowboard.
What better way to download all the the blessings from the week than to link up with Amanda and start counting my many blessings by ‘Thinking out Loud’ by Thinking Out Loud on this chilly Thursday?
Here’s a few random thoughts for today’s post… My mind is a bit scattered, but I hope that the pictures of fuzzy puppies, salami, and beanies will bless your day and remind you of God’s infinite goodness!
(And yes, even though it was about 32 degrees outside tonight, we had ice cream.)
Thought #1 – Who doesn’t like salami, cheese, and crackers? I was feeling kind of lazy last night, so this was part, not all, but part of our dinner. 🙂
Thought #2 – A couple years ago, I would have felt guilty having m’n’m’s on my cottage cheese. Now I’m learning that ‘everything in moderation’ is key for the way I look at eating and exercise and anything else in life except for pursuing Jesus! I can never get enough of Him!
Thought #3 – Eager furry puppies are the best y’all. This little guy is SO smart. He already knows commands like, ‘Leave it, Sit, Stay(kind of), Lay, and Come.’ And he’s only 5 months old. Plus he is one of the most beautiful dogs I’ve ever seen.
I don’t know why, but I often find that watching a puppy makes me laugh more than a comedy… God is truly a wonderful, marvelous Creator!
Thought #4 – I got the BEST package in the mail the other day from a blogger. This sweet blogger hosted a blogiversary giveaway, and I was astounded when she emailed me that I had won the giveaway. I always enter giveaways, not really expecting to win, so this was an unexpected privilege. It also inspired me for putting together a giveaway (stay tuned in January) for my own blogiversary giveaway in January. 😉
Thought #5 – Keep enjoying the fall colors for me y’all if it hasn’t snowed where you live yet, okay? 🙂 I’m incredibly grateful that God gave us the fullest four seasons in a long time that I can remember in Colorado. We had a warm summer, a beautiful spring, and a balmy fall. Now winter is coming with all the wonderful hours of shoveling (good practical workout), snowmen, hot cocoa, soup, and goodies. 🙂
What are you thinking about today?
Is it fall still where you are or have you gotten snow yet?
Do you like snow and warm clothes and beanies or would you rather go for the beach? Or do you like a little of both?
