It’s Sunday evening, and that means I get to share my Sunday link favorites from the week! As usual, I’m late to the part, but better late than never, right? I’ll get right to it!
Favorite Recovery/Balanced Health Posts
Alison’s – ‘Why it’s Okay to Crave Healthy Food.’ – Alison once again presented a really balanced post on something I’ve struggled with as I balance the sweets and the salads. She reassures us that it’s okay to crave healthy food as well as icecream. Sometimes you’ve just been eating heavy food for a while, and a salad sounds REALLY good. And that’s totally okay to crave your salad and eat it too.
Jen’s – 3 Ways I face my Food Fears – Jen has this way of delivering posts that pinpoint, exactly, the thoughts I have about conquering food fears, but I don’t know quite how to say them. Well, Jen says it all here. I can say, ‘Ditto. And Ditto. And Ditto.’
Anorexia Revealed – Enough’s Enough – This girl gets it again with a balance of gentleness and directness. She talks about that point, when you finally come to terms with the fact that it’s time to get this ED, this idol out of your life, and focus on Jesus. And that point? That point is one of the most freeing points I’ve ever reached.
Suz Lyfe – Five Things that Changed me This Summer – I think reflective posts are some of the best posts to close out a season and move into the next. Sometimes it’s so easy to get caught up in the hurry and flurry of life and forget to just look back at all you’ve learned. I love Susie’s way of writing and her honest assessment of her Summer!
Mama Mia – ‘Why I’ll Never Go Back to Disgusting Gym Clothes.’ – I can be a total cheapskate when it comes to buying new gym clothes. I try to guilt myself into not buying them, but then I’m reminded that God provides, and I shouldn’t be worried over these little things. If I need to get new clothes, I can get new clothes and thank God for each piece of new ‘non smelly’ gym clothes. This article convinced me that a few of my gym clothes had met the end of their life. 🙂
