Intuitive eating is not a ‘one size’ fits all approach. I’ve learned that I can’t always intuitively eat as someone in recovery, at least not at this stage in recovery. Recovery is a hard thing. It’s a bumpy road. It’s a WORTH while road, but sometimes I’m just not hungry or I don’t want to eat, but I know I need to eat, as someone who has a body that’s very sensitive to restriction.
I’m learning that intuitively eating isn’t something that I can use ALL the time as someone in recovery.
Well. . . why is that?
