I don’t really try to keep it a secret on this blog that I love nut butter, and I am so thankful that God brought so many dear friends and comrades into my life that also love nut butter. That’s why we need to talk about the very most ultimate and comprehensive nut butter gift guide that I could pull together. It actually makes my eyes goggle, because I’m amazed that God gave me the opportunity to review some of these nut butters this year on the blog. And I’m thrilled that I can share this ultimate list with you. Hopefully you can find the ultimate gift for your friend or family member who loves nut butter, or maybe you can find a gift for me? (haha… just kidding.)
You may remember the ‘nut butter’ reviews I’ve done over this year? It truly is the ‘ultimate’ food to review. Do you like how many times I’m using ‘ultimate’ to emphasize the importance of this gift guide?
Well. This. This is going to be the epic and final round-up of the year. It will be a round-up of nut butters by categories, specifically:
Best Basic Peanut Butters
Non Peanut Nut Butters/Chocolate Nut Butters
Dessert Peanut Butters
Em’s Personal Favorites
and …. I think that’s all? I just came up with those off of the top of my head.
Instead of going on and on about the virtues of nut butter, let’s dive right into these little blessings and why they make such a great gift for anybody (unless they absolutely hate nut butter.) In that case, go for chocolate.
These ones are basic. They are easy to find, and they have GOOD, wholesome ingredients. They don’t have any really exotic flavors or super chunky textures. They are the ones you can find at:
You catch my drift? 🙂 The favorites of mine that fall into this category would be as follows:
Who could go wrong with Wild Friends? They have a huge variety of flavors, and they don’t forget the important holiday flavors like: Pumpkin Spice and Gingerbread. They have a really smooth texture, and they are so easy to find especially in our local Sprouts.
Crazy Richards is pure. There’s nothing added. If they like just peanuts, get them a jar or two or three of Crazy Richards Peanut Butter at Walmart; it goes under the name ‘Krema.’
Nut Butter Nation for the DEEP Nut Butter Flavor Lover
Nut butter Nation. I love Grant’s company. I’ve had the privilege of creating a few recipes for them, oatmeal bowls to be precise, and the flavors are deep and rich. The Rainforest Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter doesn’t taste like peanut butter with a hint of chocolate but like chocolate with a hint of peanut. And the Brown Sugar Cinnamon has little bits of brown sugar that you can crunch on as you eat your oatmeal.
A recipe I made with their peanut butter: ‘Dark Chocolate Overnight Oatmeal Bowl.’
Peanut Butter and Co (For the JIF/Skippy Lover (If you want to get them to love natural)
Truly, if you want to get a family member to LOVE natural peanut butter, go for these ones. The texture is the most like ‘Jif’, and they are sold EVERYWHERE. The cost of the jar is also not pricey at all, and they spread so smoothly on a PB&J sandwich.
Now let’s get into another category that I like to call….
This makes me think of just how rich and blessed I’ve felt these past few months and even this year.
2 Corinthians 8:9 reminded me of just why I am so rich in Christ. ‘ For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.’
I’m so thankful that His riches abound, so that we can share them with others, without holding anything back. Too often I’m scared of giving, but why would I be scared of giving myself, giving peanut butter, time, love if Jesus gave all for us?
Well here you will find some of my personal favorites:
Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Spice Cookie Butter (For the COOKIE LOVER)
Truly a treat. This is a party in your mouth. You get to crunch on cookies, enjoy the deep flavors of pumpkins spice and peanut butter all in one. It’s a foodie’s dream.
Kerfluffle Nut Butter – (For the Marshmallow lover in any one: Perfect for S’mores)
The stickiness of marshmallow swirled with peanut butter? Need I say more? Also, if you’re feeling really creative, you could make this ‘Peanut Butter Marshmallow Sandwich.’
Bhappy Peanut Butter – This one will make you smile
This one has bits of EVERYTHING in their different flavors, everything good of course. There are ones with chocolate and nuts. There are others with white chocolate and pretzels. Basically, it’s SUPER crunchy with lots of fun mix-ins. And it’s also run by a super sweet family, which makes it all the more fun to support them.
Peanut Butter Crave (Creamy with a Touch of Chocolate Or Fruitiness)
This is a smooth/chunky peanut butter with little bits of things like chocolate or a fruity swirl (Razzle Dazzle). Their Cookie Nookie is like a little dessert in and of itself, and it’s fun eating little chunks out of the jar.
They also support the really awesome cause of helping malnutrition around the world, which I can totally get behind and support.
Well, that is not all of the fun… :o) Boy, I am getting tired, but I really want to keep sharing these delicious treats with you, so let’s get to the:
Non Peanut Nut Butters and Chocolate Nut Butters
Nutiva (Chocolate Hazelnut Spread)
Their hazelnut spread doesn’t taste like Nutella, but it has far less sugar, and it truly tastes like hazelnuts with chocolate. Ashley at Fit Mitten Kitchen really kindly blessed me with a jar. I did finish it off with a few fingers…
Nutella – More like Chocolate Frosting than Nut Buttter
Need I say more than this? Truly Nutella is a treat, and if you want to give the person you love a TREAT, get them a jar of Nutella. 🙂
These are truly delicious, and Mee, the owner is even sweeter. She used to live in Hawaii, but she runs her business in California now. Each box that she sends comes packaged so well, and you can see Mee’s personal touch on them. The nut butter? It is crunchy, drippy, and nutty at the same time.
And I don’t have pictures for these ones, but I recently found the very smoothest nut butter I’ve ever eaten.
They are called:
They have exotic flavors like ‘Cinnamon Red Maca’ or ‘Cashew Cardamom,’ and the nut butter is truly like the silkiest smoothie you’ve ever eaten going into your mouth. Isn’t it TRULY awesome that all of these nut butters show God’s glory and creativity and beauty?
And we can not forget the delicious:
The unique 7+ nut and seed butter. It’s so good; the flavors all come together, and you’re not quite sure what’s happening in your mouth, but you know that it’s a HUGE blend of nutty flavor you wouldn’t get anywhere else.
And this last category? I’m going to kind of be lazy and lump it all together into:
These would definitely be the ones that I would buy the most regularly, because one has to have a nut butter budget y’all.
These ones range from almond butters to crunchy honey flavored peanut butters to a nut butter business that has the most flavors I have EVER discovered in the nut butter search.
Georgia Grinder’s Maple Caramel Almond Butter
This stuff. Even my sister who isn’t a huge nut butter gal said that it was one of the best she had ever tasted.
I have tried one other muscle nut butter called ‘Buff Bake’, but You Fresh takes the cake with its ‘Carrot Cake’ flavor, it’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Muscle Frosting, and more… The flavors are not only unique, but they do an excellent job of making the butter actually taste like the flavor.
Bliss Nut Butters – Creamy and crunch with a taste of honey
I have worked with Danielle from Bliss Nut Butters multiple times, because I love the nut butters so so much. Her peanut butter went into these ‘White Chocolate Peanut Cookies.’ And spooning her cashew butter is like spooning soft cookie dough. <3
Naturally Nutty Nut Butter – (The Best Most Varied Flavors out there)
Disclaimer: I manage the Instagram for the Naturally Nutty Nut Butter Brand. All opinions on it are my own. I wouldn’t do it if I didn’t love it!
Naturally Nutty does almond butter and sunflower butter and peanut butter. They don’t shy away from any flavor. They have ‘Butter Toffee’, ‘Vanilla’, and even a Cinnamony Sun Butter that tastes AMAZEBALLS.
Guys. Gals, it is 11:44 pm on Sunday night, and I think I need to go to bed, but I don’t want to leave without giving you a few more ideas if you didn’t get enough.
If you need ‘almond butter’, go for:
They are also Colorado based which I think is pretty cool! They are more chunky than the Georgia Grinder’s, so they aren’t quite as spreadable as Georgia Grinder’s (but they are still good!)
or more peanut butter, check out:
I have not tried Earth Balance, but my lovely friend and sister in Christ Kristy has recommended it to me via her Instagram and blog. And I totally totally trust her taste in nut butters.
The special thing about these? They’re sugar free if you want ‘flavored’ nut butters without the extra sugar. I did review them earlier this year, and while I wasn’t overwhelmed by them, I wasn’t disappointed either. They would DEFINITELY work especially if you have limitations on sugar. 🙂
don’t forget to remember that the whole reason, the whole joy of Christmas is this; God gave the ultimate gift, the best gift, that no man or woman could match, and now we can give gifts and rejoice in Him, because salvation has COME!
What are you giving this Christmas?
What is on your ultimate wish list for Christmas?
What is your ultimate favorite nut butter?
Do you like to give? Would you want to do Christmas even if you didn’t receive any material gifts?
